Global Warming

April 16, 2009

I just finished reading a great book called “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming”. This book was truly fantastic and the information in the book is astounding. Now my stance on the issue is that Man-Made Global Warming is a lie. To illustrate why I view things as I do, I will go through the facts point by point.

Myth #1: Warming Like This Has Never Been Seen Before and Will be Devastating

Like many things, the climate goes through cycles. It has been much warmer than it is currently and in the past warming has been a good thing. During the Medieval Warm Period (which occurred right before the Little Ice Age) temperatures were much higher than they are currently and this rise in temperatures had a positive effect on society. Agriculture, inventions, and standard-of-living all rose during this period and this was a period of prosperity. In fact, it was so warm that there is proof on Greenland that the Vikings were able to grow crops. We had no fossil fuels being burnt back then yet the climate still got warm.

Myth #2: The Hockey Stick Graph

Although already disproven I would like to go over WHY it was disproven. The hockey stick graph depics a world where temperatures were very stable for around 1000 years. However, this graph totally erases the Medieval Warm Period and the Little Ice Age from history. For those of you who don’t know, the Little Ice Age was from the 13th to 19th century and was separated by small time frames of warming trends. So the question is, what happens when you get out of an Ice Age. Usually, it’s going to warm up, and guess what, it did. Also it was shown that the proxies used and the way in which the graph was made was faulty.

Myth #3: 1990s Was the Warmest Decade Ever Recorded

First off, even if this was true, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal considering that we’ve only been recording climate temperatures for a little over a century. Second, the reason for the large spike in recorded temperatures over this decade was because of the fall of the Soviet Union. Many stations that record temperatures are placed randomly all over the world to produce our “average” temperature. However at the start of the 1990s the USSR was losing its control before its eventual fall in 1991. The USSR had more things to worry about than temperature and so shut down around 15 of its recording stations, many of which being in the colder Siberian part of Russia. So for those of you who know math, what happens to an average of numbers if you take away the 10 lowest? It’s going to go up and that’s exactly what happened.

Myth #4: Global Warming is Affecting the Whole Planet

Of course we always hear about how global warming won’t just affect us but everyone else in the world. What about the Southern Hemisphere? Using the same information that the Environmentalist use the southern hemisphere has revieved about 1/10 the amount of temperature rise as the Northern Hemisphere.

Myth#5: There is a “Global Temperature”

The basis of Global Warming is that global temperatures are rising because of the burning of fossil fuels. They “prove” this by using graphs to show the rise in average global temperatures. How is it possible to take the average world temperature? It’s not. Not only are the stations we use to measure this randomly placed, but they’re also unreliable. Many factors affect the climate and most prominant among these being weather. Because weather has such a huge affect on temperatures and weather is so unpredictable it is impossible to say that there is a global average temperature.

Myth #6: The Polar Bear

Many of you are probably  familiar with the poster animal for the Environmentalist movement (http://media.npr.org/programs/morning/features/2007/jul/carbon/polarbears400.jpg). However, most experts say that this is a usual way of travel for them and nothing to worry about.

Myth #7: Global Warming is Causing Worse Storms

Many people are under the impression that Global Warming is causing worse storms. This theory was intensified after the horrific 2005 hurricane season. After the Greens all started to ramp it up on their global catastrophe scale for the 2006 season, nothing happened. In the U.S. not one hurricane made landfall. Somehow, the media must have missed the fact and didn’t mean to overlook something so obviously contradictory to what they had been preaching so vehemently before. There is no valid proof that Global Warming, and for the sake of argument saying I’m its true, causes worse storms. The only reason for this belief is probably because of a rise in damage and death caused by these storms. However, if you couple rising populations with larger coastal cities, then the storms will probably have a greater effect.

Myth #8:  There’s a Consensus on Global Warming

Who made this up? This is not a consensus and whoever says so is ignorant or gullible. There are not thousands of “climate experts” out there. In fact, there’s about 82 in the U.S. who are actually certified for this title. What happens is Al Gore and the Greens tend to bring on experts on things that will be affecting by Global Warming (assuming what they preach occurs) like an Owl Specialist. Most real experts are skeptical of Global Warming but they go unheard because of the media because normal isn’t scary, drastic changes are scary.

More to come…

GodSands and DATCMOTO

March 20, 2009

For those of you which go to DDO you will definitely know the names of GodSands and DATCMOTO. You will also know that they are extreme Christian evangelists. In this article I will write my own opinions about them and what they mean to the DDO community.

GodSands

GodSands is a 19 year old male who lives in the United Kingdom. His name was meant to be “GodStands” but he left out the “t” so he just stuck with it. He is most known for his avid defense of and comprehensive knowledge of Christianity. Unfortunately this is combined with a complete lack of understanding of many basic Scientific principles and a lack of spelling and grammar skills. He doesn’t believe in evolution and also happens to be a follower of the notorious Kent Hovind. His “debates” normally turn into him insulting his opponent and bashing the person over the head about the opponent’s “hereticital” beliefs. He is known for being very close-minded and rude to his fellow members. He tries to use Science and Logic to prove God’s existence but because of his poor understanding of both these subjects he often fails miserably. Now many people find it hard to believe that someone would be so devotely close to God and after being asked about this he told us his story:

was brought up by my mother. She became a Christian when I was about three, and from there I and my two other brothers went to church. I had faith God existed from as far as I can remember, but I did not understand Christianity.

We would prey at the table and before bed. My older brother, Ben was very bold and teterment. That at a age of six or seven he would stand up infront of 100 or more people and prey out loud. I would not, I did not have that currage he had. My younger brother Alex, would come to church but he did not understand anything, like most young chrildren. My two brothers are not longer Christian, Ben is now 20 and Alex is now 15.

Years later once I was old enough to go out and drink. I drank, and all the teaching of Christianity left me, I claimed still to be a Christian I said I was, on such webs sites like Bebo and Myspace. However I was not a Christian at all, I was a drunkared, I cursed, used God’s name in vanity, lusted etc… where as I would say I was a good person. I believed in evolution and the big bang. I never told any other person about my faith. I had no idea how valuable life is. I abused life, I was on the throne instead of Christ. I never really preyed at all. But within a time span of five to ten minutes my life flipped around utterly.

I was at my computer, same as now. I had been watching Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron’s street evangelism or open air preaching on Youtube. They told me in an easy way that if I do not repent I will pending for hell. I acknowledged that I was an corrupt and evil person, who was missing someting vital. I had also been watching Dr Kent Hovinds two and some times more long hour clips on why evolution is a shamble. For I have lost how long I watched these for, but it did not take long before I bursted into tears and nelt down on my knees, looking up as if I was looking at God. The most increadible feeling of joy and happyness entered into me. At that very point the believe of evolution and the big bang just was destroyed, I knew that evolution and the big bang never happened. As the Holy Spirit was in me, I simply said, “Where have I been God?” To go back to my old life would be worse than entering hell, I hated my old life. I thanked God and I was changed, God’s existence became clear and I knew it.

The next morning I ran to church, I was alittle late however when it was time for people to come up front, I stood and walked to the ulta. I spoke on evolution, in saying it never happened. Two other individuals thought otherwise. After the servise I cried all morning, and gave my life to Christ.

That same week I went out into town and evangelised to the public, I said, “People need to know, otherwise they will have eternal suffering in hell” I stamped my foot in frustration. At times I spoke to groups of ten people about my faith. My wants for money vanished and Jesus was my throne.

Eight months on I evangelise at college, to pupiles on a Wednesday and a Thursday, for three hours every week. I just recently spoken to a homeless man named Wane, I invited him to my church on any Sunday to get him saved. My life here forth will remain God’s, I own God everything. I need God and Jesus the Holy Spirit. And it is my job to help bring people to Christ, to know God personaily. Amen to God, my heavenly Father.

Yeah I decided to become a Christian because Jesus is and the only ever chance you will get. I say chance because you can become a Christian then fall away again. Maybe because you are going through a really difficult time in your life, you may deside to drink and forget about your strong faith you once had.

It would be wisdom packed to engage in the Love of Christ.” (http://www.debate.org/forums/religion/topic/1102/)

DATCMOTO

Now, truthfully, I don’t know a whole lot about DATCMOTO. He, like GodSands, is a follower of Kent Hovind and also an evangelist. He has a slightly better understanding of science and better spelling and grammar. He has the last post on almost every old religion forum and has gotten the reputation as a bit of a troll. In fact, some member has even made an account named PATCMOTO to ridicule the views of DATCMOTO.

The Crackdown

Now, I can’t honestly say much on DATCMOTO as I don’t know him well enough. However, I have had many a PM with GodSands and looked at many of his debates. GodSands can not concentrate on the debate subject and often goes off into “preaching mode”. He never refutes an opponent’s point but merely moves on and makes more of his own. He only has 3 debeate wins out of 28 and the three he has won I would not consider debates. He is totally against evolution and although he is often proven wrong on the forums he continues his rampage across many different threads. I believe his antics and that of DATCMOTO are hurting the Christian religion that if they truly want the non-Christians to turn to Christ they must let them find the way on their own.

I do give them both a tip of my hat for their persistence. They are hated by some, annoy many, and are a laughingstock to the rest. Yet, there they stand, facing this and not turning back. I admire there adversity and hope that they learn their art of evangelism better to help others instead of turning them away from Christ.

It’s Been Awhile

March 20, 2009

Hi everyboyd, that is, if anybody still reads my blog after my 2 month absence. I apologize for my lack of posting but I seemed to have gotten writer’s block. However, I’m back, and ready to blog once more. I should have some more subjects coming up very soon!

Fox News: Hannity

January 30, 2009

Hannity by himself does not uphold Fox News “Fair and Balanced” Slogan.

I would like to thank my friend Judel who is linked on this site under the name Liberty and gave me the idea to talk about this. So you realize the gravity of that statement, let me say, I am a big fan of Hannity and Fox news. However, without Colmes, the “Hannity” segment is not fair and balanced. Although, I have to say it probably wasn’t fair before, as Hannity had much more power on the segment. Now though, there is nothing to cover up their bias. As of now Fox news is naked.

What should they do?

Well they have 2 choices in my mind.

1.

They bring another liberal on the show to take Colmes place. This will “even it out” and make their slogan “somewhat” true.

2.

They somehow exclude there “slogan” from this segment. They finally admit that they are conservatively biased and get on with their lives.

Outcome

Either way, Fox news will still stay conservatively biased. One way though they can at least hide under the illusion that they aren’t. I think doing so is somewhat insulting. There biased, the other media is biased, they need to get off there high chair and realize that overall they’re not much better. Just get on with their lives and stop lying.

The Stimulus Plan

January 30, 2009
Stimulus Payment Information
“This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment.
This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A
format:
Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. >From taxpayers.
Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
Q. Are you rich?
A. Yes.
A. Then no.
Q. What if I’m poor?
A. Then you get a smidgen back.
Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV
set,  thus stimulating the economy.
Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.
Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending
your stimulus check wisely:
If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China .
If you spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If you purchase a computer it will go to India .
If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras , and
Guatemala (unless you buy organic).
If you buy a car it will go to Japan .
If you purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan .
And none of it will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America . You can keep the money in
America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it
on prostitutes, beer, and wine (domestic ONLY), or tattoos, since those are
the only businesses still in the US.

Global Warming=Lie

January 27, 2009

“WHAT! No it can’t be true, the media, Al Gore, and…and…that other guy…said that global warming exist! Why am I giving Al Gore money? This is an outrage!”

The Crackdown

Now I know that’s an overreaction and exaggeration of what would happen, but the premise is true. According to the world’s top 650 environmentalists who met in Poznan, Poland in December’s U.N. Global Warming conference the world is no longer warming. Global temperatures had peaked in 1998 and has been falling ever since. Most dramitcally in 2007 and 2008 when temperatures became as low as 1980 levels. Dr. David Gee, Chairman of International Geographical Congress, was even quoted to say “For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming?” (http://www.mlive.com/opinion/flint/index.ssf/2009/01/its_time_to_pray_for_global_wa.html)

So what does this mean?

Well first you have to look at all of the effects of the last 9 years. It turns out that artic ice is back to 1979 levels and antartic ice is up 5% more than previous levels. So I guess the world won’t flood. *Sigh* I was looking forward to that pool party. Dr. Kunihiko, Chancellor of Japan’s Institute of Science and Technology, was quoted saying “CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or the other … every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so.” Wait, did he just say Carbon dioxide  emissions have no effect? WHAT?!? What did Al Gore win the Nobel Prize for then? I tell you, as of now, it’s a scam. Don’t be conned into this hoax.

If global warming can have bad effects, what about global cooling?

Well, according to a recent study released by the Russian Government based off core samples Russia’s Vostok Station in Antarctica the Earth is on the verge of another Ice Age. To make it clear though, I don’t believe one bit of it. First where going to burn, now where going to freeze. As far as I can see, this new theory of “Global Cooling” holds no more merit than Global Warming. It’ll get colder, it’ll get warmer. Very rarely we’ll get a couple Ice Ages and a couple worldwide “Anti-Ice Ages”. Species will die, humans will adapt, life goes on. We’re obviously not having that big of an effect on the environment so I’m just getting tired of it.

What do we do now?

Maybe now we finally realize that earth goes through it’s own natural cycles. Let’s just accept it and move on. Let the earth do what it does and move on with our own lives. With all the other problems out there, focusing so much time and effort on something we can’t affect is not going to help us in the long run.

Atheists vs. Christians

January 22, 2009

That’s right, I’m talking about the “no-touchy” subject. You’re not suppose to talk about this at school, with other adults, or strangers but you can talk about it here. I’m going to go through what Christians do, what atheists do, why they do things, and my own opinion on the subject. Before I start just let me say that I am a Methodist. Here I go.

What are they?

What truly is a Christian? Well that one’s simple. It’s a person who believes in God and Jesus as his savior and follows the teachings of the bible. What is an atheist? Well that can be tricky. The simple answer would be to say someone who doesn’t believe in God. That’s true, but more specifically most “atheist” are actually Agnostic-atheist. They just use the term “atheist” as a general title. This meaning that they’ll believe in God when the proof is there for them to see. In other words, they just don’t know and think that as of now their is no proof for one to exist.

Why do they argue?

They both argue (most of the time) to “enlighten” the other person. The Christian thinks that he’ll bring another person to God and the atheist thinks he’ll stop someone from wasting precious time and effort. Both pretty noble ideals right? Then why do the arguments get so vicious? Well, it’s for a couple reasons I believe. One, both stubbornly think they’re right but neither can proof that they are. This is what makes the arguments go back and forth with no one getting anywhere. Two, when arguing about this subject the debators normally get worked up emotionally and make irrational claims and discredit their whole argument.

What do they argue?

Christians argue that God exists. Atheist (I’m talking about the general Agnostic-atheist) aren’t usually arguing that God doesn’t exists, just that they have no proof that he exists. That’s another problem with this argument. Christians generally overlook the fact of what they are actually arguing. Think about, if I’m arguing Football is better than baseball and you’re arguing apples are better than oranges we’re not really getting anywhere are we?

The Stereotypical Christian

I’m going to try and knock around some of the things the general Atheist and I don’t like about the stereotypical Christian. I probably won’t do it justice because of my bias but I’ll give it a try. One annoying thing that Christian’s will use as “proof” is “Oh! Look at how great and wonderful this world is. There’s no way this could’ve been done randomly.” I believe that, but to say that’s proof is nonsense. Christians also tend to look down upon atheists. They seem to go “Oh! You poor dears. I’ll save you and redeem you for God.” I’ll give you a hint, I’m betting the atheist don’t give a hoot. Stop acting like you’re better than them, Christians, because if you truly believe in God you know that he made us all equal and that he loves us all the same in his eyes. Acting like you’re superior than him is NOT okay.

The Stereotypical Atheist

This I can probably do a little better. Let me first say right off that I’m talking what I generally see, I’m sure there are plenty of exceptions. The first and foremost thing that annoys me is that Atheists always try to act like they know the Bible better than a Christian does. Some grew up Christians so they have a legitimate claim here, but most do not, and it annoys the heck out of me. What they’ll do is say “Oh! What about the Bible which says (insert bible passage here). It says blah blah blah is good. That’s crazy!” The passage/verse will be out of context and be warped to something it didn’t say. Second annoying argument from atheist is “What about evolution? I thought God made all the animals a couple thousand years ago?” Evolution does not disprove God. There are a million possibilities for how things were meant in Genesis and I’m not going to go through him here.

How can this end?

Arguing is perfectly fine. If you want to argue this (lke me) then you’re happy to go at anytime. However, some people dislike all the argumentation and competition between the two groups. If you don’t want to argue it anymore, it’s simple, just stop. Why can’t either side learn that no matter what they argue with, no matter what they say, no matter what evidence they have, you’re not going to get anywhere. That’s what happens when you try to prove the unprovable.

NObama

January 16, 2009

In this article I’m going to go through what I and other people think about Obama.

Well as you can see I don’t really like Obama, however it appears that around 52% of the nation would disagree with me on that. Let me list the reasons I think that Obama got voted in.

Reasons Obama is Prez-to-be:

Uneducated Voters:

I’m talking about the people out there that just gobble down all the information the media spits out. The media is liberally biased so the uneducated, generally poorer people,  just take what they say as the truth and follow them blindly.  This section also goes for the people with HUGE misconceptions of what the president can and will do. A lot like this women here who believes that she won’t have to pay her mortgage or gas bill anymore(http://chicagoagainstobama.wordpress.com/2008/10/31/hope-obama-will-pay-my-mortgage-and-pay-for-my-gas/).

Anti-Racism-

That’s right, I said the “R” word. I believe that one of the main reasons that Obama won was because of his race. He got 96% of the african-american vote! When other ethnicities like caucasians are going almost 50-50 you know something else is going on. He also got 67% of the latino vote. Now this is somewhat reasonable however if you look how much McCain helped with illegal immigration, border defence, and other immigration laws you’d have seen that he had done a lot more for the latino population.

Bush:

There it is, the “B” word. This is one of the biggest reasons that Obama was elected. It’s because Bush is a republican and since many people are upset with him they didn’t want to vote in another Republican.

A Catchy Slogan:

“Change you can believe in.” How many of us have heard that slogan before? What does it even mean? Apparently Obama is going to change things. How? The president doesn’t have the power to fix everything. Even if he could change things all by himself, couldn’t change be bad? That’s right, listen up kool-aid drinkers. CHANGE CAN BE BAD! Well I’ve said it, let’s see what happens.

Reasons to NOT like Obama:

Shady Connections:

1. Tony Rezko
2. Rev. Jeremiah Wright
3. Bill Ayers
4. Rashid Khalidi
5. Nadhmi Auchi
6. Louis Farrakhan
7. Father Pfleger
8. Emil Jones
9. Rod Blagojevich
10. Todd Stroger

On this list there are crazy preachers, proven terrorist, suspected terrorist, and communist supporters. His own cousin (who he’s been in contact with) lives in Africa by the name of Raila Odinga. He is an anti-european, anti-chistian, terrorist. He’s burned down homes of Christians and leads a militant group that is very similar to all the other terrorist groups in the Middle East. Now just because he’s been in with “bad” people doesn’t mean that Obama is bad. However,  the chances are that he knew what some of these people were up too and decided to stay in contact with them anyway.

Lack of Experience:

He’s been in the Senate for only 4 years and he’s running for president. I don’t know about you, but I want someone that will know a little more about the political world.

Political Idealogy:

I just plain don’t agree with his views and don’t think that a lot of his ideas will work. Some of his ideas that he says will help certain things will really make them worse. This was shown in the “Average Joe” incident.

He’s the Lead Sheep:

In other words he’s the sheep that if he walks off a cliff the rest will run right after him. He’s got too many blind followers which I think is dangerous. He’s “brainwashed” them with propoganda and has them doing whatever he wants them to do. This video could explain how this happened…(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3_jh2dO78U).

I could go on and on about this issue but the points I wanted to make have been made so that’s all I’ll write down right now.
